Ian Peacock

Ian Peacock was called to the Bar in 1990.  He has a broad-based practice covering property and commercial litigation and public law. 

He has experience of professional negligence cases and company and insolvency work (both corporate and personal).  He was instructed in the multi-jurisdictional litigation arising from the liquidation of BCCI. 

Ian frequently acts in landlord and tenant disputes, both residential and commercial.  He has particular experience of public sector housing disputes, especially neighbour nuisance, and has frequently appeared for local authorities.  He regularly appears in homelessness cases and in applications for anti-social behaviour orders. 

Ian spent 8 years as a Labour Party Councillor in the London Borough of Hackney and stood as a candidate in the 1997 General Election. 

He is a contributor to The Law of Freedom of Information, which was published by O.U.P. in March 2003.
